They say when you put your mind to something, things are bound to happen. I have always wanted to work on a cruise ship since my first time crusing on Princess at the age of 16. In September I had been catching up with my friends in Muskoka who had just returned from working on a cruise ship for a few years and spiked my interest again.
I searched for a few weeks and finally found a posting in the Sun for a job with Princess. I went to Toronto and had my interview and found out a week later I had been accepted for a position but they did not have a job for me yet. I waited and waited for a ship to have an opening and a week ago I finally got the e-mail. They are sending me to the Sun Princess crusing around Austraila, New Zealand and Asia! I couldn't be more excited for the interary. Who wouldn't want to skip a cold, snowy Canadian winter?!?
I am getting all finished up at work, it's so bittersweet to leave the job I have been doing for 3 years and start something new. I have had some amazing clients, worked with great people and truely learned more in the 3 years than I ever had in my life.
I have never been away from home for a long period of time but I know my friends and family will be there when I come home and have been so supportive and proud of my desicion to take on this new challenge.
Sooo here we go, only a few days and I will be starting my new life on the other side of the world. Now all I need to do is actually pack... how do you fit 30 pairs of shoes in two suitcases?!?
